Point of sale(POS) is the time and place where a retail transaction is completed. POS are used to calculate the sale amount and prepare invoice, some pos systems include viewing reports and summary in the pos system.

POS system before the computer evaluation many of them used bill book and hand written bills to complete the transaction and store the information. after that we have used electronic cash registers (ECR) were controlled with proprietary software and were limited in function and communications capability. which was controlled by microprocessor,  which was very limited functionality.

when we enter the item code in the machine it will print the invoice. this contain small LED display which display the total amount and item name rate at different time .but it wants proper maintenance and service which may cost as much service need.

After the computer evaluations most of them used computer billing systems which gives  the many features than the previous systems, we can store the as many data as store in computer database.some of the system works without internet connection and some system need high speed internet connections.some of example software system like tally  are have many features ,we can can connect external hardware like barcode scanner,weighing scale,Debit card swiping machine,but it cost more money.

Now days everyone has android phone.we have simplified pos system using android phones and tablet now you can store items category wise and print the bill using network or bluetooth printers

simply enter code of the product and add to order or bill.

This also contain many report view and print option example daily sale report, category wise report, item wise report,Bill details report ,cancelled bill report,item list,it has 3 types of login Report,Billing and Admin.

Admin has all rights who can bill, view report cancel bill and print report

Billing login has only two options code billing and normal billing option.

Report or Manager Login which include add ,edit product and category,view report
